PULSE is operated by 9437-0780 Québec Inc., operating as Barranco Partners (Montréal, Québec, Canada). This policy explains the small pieces of data PULSE stores in your browser. We keep this list complete and plain — there are no hidden trackers.

What we store in your browser

PULSE uses your browser’s local storage (not advertising cookies) to remember your preferences and keep you signed in. Every key we set is listed below, with what it is for:

bp_active_restaurant

Remembers which location (restaurant) you are currently viewing so the app opens to the right place.

bp_lang

Stores your chosen interface language (English or French).

bp_theme_mode

Stores your display preference — dark, light, or follow-system — so the theme is correct before the first paint.

pulse_applock_enabled_v1

Records whether you have turned on the optional app-lock (PIN / biometric) for this device.

pulse_onboarding_v1_done

Marks that you have completed the first-run onboarding so we do not show it again.

pulse_passkey_prompt_seen_v1

Remembers that you have already been offered passkey (passwordless) sign-in, so the prompt is not repeated.

pulse_whatsnew_seen_v1

Tracks which "What’s New" announcements you have already read, to show the unread indicator correctly.

pulse_privacy_notice_v1

Records that you have acknowledged the privacy notice bar, so it is not shown on every visit.

No advertising or third-party tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, cross-site trackers, or any third-party analytics that profile you. Nothing on this list is sold, shared, or used to follow you across the web.

Error & performance monitoring

The /monitoring endpoint you may see in your browser’s network tab is a server-side beacon that routes application error and performance diagnostics to our monitoring provider (Sentry). To diagnose and fix problems, it may include limited technical data such as your IP address and browser type. This data is used only to keep PULSE reliable and secure — it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to track you across other websites.

How to clear this data

You can remove everything on this list at any time through your browser settings — typically under “Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data,” or by clearing site data for www.pulsebirdeye.com. Clearing it will simply reset your preferences and sign you out.
